Agency Involvement
The early consultation period is the period of time in which the range of issues and possible alternatives to be addressed in the Environmental Assessment (EA) are identified.
Opportunities for agency comment on these issues will occur during the agency informational briefing meeting, the 30-day comment period after the informational briefing meeting, and during the 30-day early consultation period; these comment periods could overlap or occur concurrently. Additionally, opportunities for another 30-day period for agency comment will start upon publication of the Draft EA.
An Agency Informational Briefing Meeting was held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm HST at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center (1 Cameron Way, Kahului, HI 96732).
